POLICY COUNCIL
Leadership
As part of FSGC’s Head Start programs, parents are encouraged to take on leadership roles. As the primary educator of their children they become part of the governing and decision making process. This includes supporting policy making for the FSGC Head Start program, as well as decision making associated with local center parent and child activities.
Parents who get involved with Head Start’s leadership opportunities are eligible to attend Washington State Head Start and ECEAP events, where they learn about advocacy.
Head Start understands the importance of parents in their children’s lives and invites all parents to come and learn how important good role models are in the growth and development of children.
